I used this "quiz" at the beginning of the year to gauge where my students' feelings were at for reading. This is a great way to get some feedback from your students if you're looking to make ELA or read-alouds more refreshing/engaging. This is a simple main idea graphic organizer that I have used tons! Including a summary section has been great because it brings students a step further from just being able to find information and jot it down. I also included four boxes for supporting evidences. This is a great way to start the year and gauge how your students feel about reading! This resource is more streamlined and meant for older students, but I'm sure it can be useful for upper elementary as well. This is a package of 6 different graphic organizers for group work. These can easily be adapted for younger grades. I personally used these organizers when I was having my students examine the Bill of Rights in order to understand primary/secondary sources. Simple and concise worksheets with space for notes and a summary in all three versions. Simple and streamlined "lesson plan" templates! These were fantastic for when I was student teaching in a self-contained preschool laboratory so I thought I'd share them. The Do and Say page is also great by itself if you want to really plan out and get specific about a lesson. Please leave a review if you use my resources!
I needed a quick activity to supplement an school-wide Veteran's Day assembly. This presentation goes through basic information about the origins of Veteran's Day, some current statistics, and ties in medieval knights (chivalry, honoring knights). There are directions for 5 optional activities included at the end of the presentation. Please leave a review if you use my resources!
I wanted some middle school-appropriate partner cards so I created these! I stuck with 15 relatively recognizable president/vice-president pairs so this resource works with up to 30 students. Each card is labeled either 'president' or 'vice president' and each pair should have cards with opposing fonts. Please leave a review if you use my resources! This is a great, quick activity that gives students time to talk to each other at the beginning of the year. The "typical" icebreaker questions can be boring and redundant, so I made sure to put some questions that could spark some fun conversation. I personally had students walking around with a die and their paper, and gave each pair 1 minute to ask as many questions as possible. I did this about ten or so times, so it was a great morning warm-up activity. Please leave a review if you use my
