On the opening page of the CCSS for 7th grade math, there is overview of the key 7th grade math concepts. I used this summary as the anchor for "Content Language for 7th grade math". As I read the summary, I highlighted all the math specific words and word phrases. I then took each concept and broke it down into three parts: 1.) how it is applied in a problem, 2.) a solution suggestion, and 3.) I offer a coolness/cautious factor that pertains to the concept. Number lines, -25 to 25
On a single 11" by 17" page are five identical number lines, ranging from -25 to 25. Formatted on Excel; it is editable and printable. I recommend that you print it out, make several copies, separate the number lines with a paper cutter then tape on each desk in your classroom or build it into an interactive notebook.

I have been teaching 7th grade math since 2011. Before that, I taught Life Skills, aka, Family and Consumer Science, for 9 years.

I have written several grants. Won the Jump and Go grant with BlueCross/BlueShield back in 2013. And have since won several grants with a local foundation named, AEFI, Inc.
My own education history
Graduated with Bachelor Of Science at UMass/Amherst in 1983.
From Fitchburg State University received a Masters in Middle School Education and from Lesley University received a Masters in Middle School Math.

Although I grew up in New Jersey, I am very happy with my life in Massachusetts. Feel very blessed.
