I have been teaching middle school and upper level elementary school since 2001. I have also spent 5 years working with and mentoring new teachers at Florida Atlantic University and specialize in setting classrooms routines and procedures to help classes run smoothly,
In the 2022-2023 school year, my 6th grade students were the highest scoring middle school in the district for the FAST Assessment and among the highest achieving 6th grade students in the state of Florida.

Divisibility Rules
Knowing divisibility rules can improve the accuracy and efficiency of student work. Solving Percent Problems using Percent Proportion, Matching Activity with Cards
Help your students have fun learning percent using the percent proportion! Included are TWO different style activities- a matching worksheet (just print and go) or make a kinesthetic matching game for partners (copy and cut cards). I created this product to help by 6th grade students review for their assessment on Ratios and Rates! I used the Google Slides and had students work in partnerships to complete the 15 problems. The Slides could also be used for a whole class review, or printed and used as task cards. Reflections on the Coordinate Plane- Valentine's Day Heart
Students can practice reflections on the Coordinate Plane creating their own heart to celebrate Valentine's Day! This activity is for 6th grade students who have learned to graph coordinates in all 4 quadrants. Students will practice reflections over the x-axis to create a symmetrical heart shape. Students can then color their heart and personalize. I hung these up last year and they were a big hit! Just print and go!
