Welcome to the Math Cafe! In this fun and interactive activity, students will use their knowledge of percentages, sales tax, and tip to participate as customers in a math cafe. This is a great cooperative learning activity, giving students real world applications to the math curriculum. You can set up your classroom like a restaurant and dress up as the chef. In this 1-2 period activity, students will use their knowledge of Geometry to analyze three paintings from Wassily Kandinsky. This activity gives students real world applications to the math curriculum and art. This lesson includes a Google Slide, student worksheet, and project information page. My students had so much fun and really enjoyed the lesson.
