About the store
I worked for an International school in China (ML) for 6 years that did not have a middle school curriculum. My job was to prepare middle school students for an English immersion high school so I made my own curriculum
While there is a plethora of science related material on the web incl. YouTube, much of it is too technical for young ESL learners.
I wanted to create lessons that encompass the basics so my students could be introduced to science slowly and not be overwhelmed by vocabulary and details.

The Universe
This is a 94 slide PPT outlining the formation of the Universe, stars and their life cycle, galaxies, nebulae, the Solar System and important vocabulary. It can be used as part of a curriculum, for home school, in class lessons or on-line learning. There is an accompanying 24 page booklet (docx) that follows the PPT slides and can be used as a review or for the teacher to base homework and quizzes on.

Teaching style
My classes involve primarily the use of PPTs. I prepare an accompanying booklet on the topic with exercises. I use science to teach ESL; critical thinking, listening, writing and speaking. Writing, unit tests, group projects and speaking tests are all part of my teaching plan.
Awards & shining teacher moments
I have been recognized by my school through a variety of awards, but honestly, the biggest honor I could receive is seeing my students engaged in my classes, asking questions and improving their English ability.
