About the store
This school year, I am lucky enough to have accepted a position in one of our district's special programs focusing on communication and social learning. After 8 years of teaching math in general education, SAM, TAM, and resource settings, I am looking forward to working with students on the autism spectrum in a smaller setting to hone their math skills and build confidence in their problem-solving abilities.

About the store

Experience

This school year, I am lucky enough to have accepted a position in one of our district's special programs focusing on communication and social learning. After 8 years of teaching math in general education, SAM, TAM, and resource settings, I am looking forward to working with students on the autism spectrum in a smaller setting to hone their math skills and build confidence in their problem-solving abilities.

Teaching style

I love creating a classroom environment that feels safe and welcoming for all students from the beginning of the school year. Building relationships, creating structure and norms, and instilling confidence in my students are my top priorities!

Awards & shining teacher moments

In the past few years, I have been awarded Teacher of the Month and have been nominated twice for Teacher of the Year at my school. Very grateful for these recognitions!

My own education history

In 2014, I graduated with a Bachelor of Science in Elementary Education with concentrations in Special Education and Middle School Mathematics. I am highly qualified in Middle School Mathematics 6-8 and Special Education K-12 in addition to Elementary Education K-6 and Middle School ELA 6-8. I also earned my Master of Education in Teacher Leadership in 2019. I love continuing to grow my knowledge of teaching and leading fellow teachers through ongoing PD opportunities.

Additional biographical information

My resources are beneficial to all middle school students, regardless of skill or ability. I have a knack for breaking down math concepts to make the "why" and "how" as easy to understand as the procedures and algorithms we teach, and I truly enjoy creating and sharing these resources with you all!
