Harness the excitement of March Madness while working on simplifying algebraic expressions. Students will simplify expressions on cards and when they get three that are equivalent they have made a 3-pointer! This resources contains 21 expressions and is great for a station, review activity, test prep, group work, etc. Please note that these expressions do not contain negative numbers.
This resource is a mini anchor chart that has steps to calculate mean, median, mode, M.A.D., IQR, and range. It is great for students to use as they are practicing the skills or as a refresher. These are also helpful for students that were absent for some or all of the unit. They are ready to print, to screenshot to adjust the size, or post directly into an LMS.
The brackets are exciting in March. Put that energy into practicing some math skills! Math Madness pits 16 numerical expressions against each other to win the Math Madness bracket. Students will use Order of Operations to solve expressions and move the expression with the greater answer to the next round of the tournament.
