Students act as a math game designer to create a game that helps others master PEMDAS and solve order of operations problems correctly.

Students will place parentheses within a string of numbers in order to create as many different results as possible and explain their decision-making. They may also create their own random string of numbers and place parentheses among those numbers, along with an explanation.

Given a complete set of numbers and final answer, students will spot hidden patterns to find the original equation. Answer key included.
