Students run through 4 daily stations in my classroom. Review, Explore, Mini-Lesson & Apply. Students start at different stations and move through them differently. This is the page on which I have students write physical notes or work through physical problems throughout the class period. This document is editable to be longer or shorter and can be re-modified on how your class is. For example, I used Cornell Notes in my classroom so my mini-lesson section is based on Cornell Notes. Monthly calendar where I have students track their daily entry and exit ticket percentages so that students can see their growth over time. This is also a place where they can see their percentages on weekly quizzes and reflect on their growth. Students keep this in their interactive binder. This is simply one month. Can be edited for other months and for your own data processes.

Daily vocabulary recorder for Algebra 1 and Algebra 2. Could be truly used for any grade. I have students come in and add one word Monday-Thursday. On Friday they do not have a word because they have a vocabulary quiz on that weeks words. This document is editable where you could add however many models you need. You would however need to adjust the size.

About the store

Experience

I am a high school mathematics teacher in an urban district in Kansas City, Missouri. I started in the education world with a year long residency teaching 8th grade math and Algebra 1. Now, I teach Algebra 2 and Geometry at a signature high school.

Teaching style

My teaching style focuses on guided notes, small groups, stations & learning centers. I am a strong advocate of differentiation and recognize that all of these are strategies that allow me to differentiate for a large group of students in different ways at the same time.

My own education history

I received my BA in Political Science and my BA in Journalism from the University of Arkansas in 2015. I am currently working towards my M.Ed and will graduate May 2018 with my M.Ed from Park University.

Additional biographical information

I love collaboration, professional development and creative classrooms. I am always ready to work with others. On a personal level, I am getting married in June to the man of my dreams and I am a dog mom to a yellow lab & a frenchie/terrier mix.
