Experience

I teach 6th Grade Math at a Title I school in Virginia. I have experience with teaching a wide range of levels, including ESOL newcomers, students with SPED accommodations, and gifted students. I have worked extensively on developing 6th, 7th, and 8th grade math curriculum in Virginia.

Teaching style

My teaching style prioritizes vocabulary instruction, experience with concepts before learning formal algorithms, growth mindset, and rich mathematical discourse.
