My name is Rachel Sheffield. I have 20 years of experience teaching logic, argument structure, and argument analysis. Over the past two decades, I've taught thousands of students and have trained hundreds of instructors on how to break down complex reasoning to become better readers and reasoners. I’ve seen firsthand how difficult these concepts can be to grasp, but I’ve also seen exactly how learnable they are when taught with the right framework.

Experience

My name is Rachel Sheffield. I have 20 years of experience teaching logic, argument structure, and argument analysis. Over the past two decades, I've taught thousands of students and have trained hundreds of instructors on how to break down complex reasoning to become better readers and reasoners. I’ve seen firsthand how difficult these concepts can be to grasp, but I’ve also seen exactly how learnable they are when taught with the right framework.

Teaching style

My approach is built on the belief that critical thinking is a muscle that can be trained at any age. I use a structured, "casual academic" tone that focuses on clear logistics and real-world application rather than abstract theory.

Additional biographical information

As a mom and a professional logic instructor, I am passionate about bridging the gap between high-level reasoning and early childhood education. Through Mind Merit, I’m dedicated to giving parents and teachers the tools to raise the next generation of sharp, independent, and critical thinkers.
