Real world Multi-step problem that checks students understanding for surface area of a rectangular prism.

Read through the "Fraction Story". With students in pairs, when they hear a fraction, they are to write it down on one of the blank cards. At the end of the story, students should have twelve fractions written down on cards. See last slide for follow up games to play with the fraction cards.

Students use this problem solving placemat to complete word problems during assignments and tests that require students to demonstrate their thinking in a variety of ways including: pictures, numbers, words and explaining their thinking.

This is a file of 2D Geometric Shapes that can be used for shape sorting of attributes in primary math. I have mine printed and laminated to be used in math centres.

This worksheet is extra practice on constructing angles, given a variety of information. In can be used in conjunction with a lesson or as homework for students to complete.
