I am currently in my 14th year teaching elementary school. I spent a few years teaching learning support before I was assigned as a classroom teacher. Since then I have taught 1st, 3rd, and 5th grades and I have spent the past 5 years teaching 2nd grade. This chart is a great tool for students to use to self-monitor their fluency progress. I use it each week as I give my students new passages. The range on the chart can be adjusted to fit the needs of your students.

Teaching style
My teaching style matches who I am as a person. I am fun loving and laid back, yet I believe in boundaries and high expectations. I love my students for who they are and what they bring to school with them each day. I believe that each child is capable of acheiving success and it is my job (along with their families) to show them how to do that :)
