Experience

Hi! I'm a passionate educator with over a decade of classroom experience, primarily in upper elementary and middle school. I’ve worn many hats—from reading and math instruction to supporting multilingual learners—and I know the real-life magic (and chaos!) that happens between the bells. Teaching style

My teaching style blends curiosity, creativity, and structure. I’m most passionate about designing resources that help students build independence—especially through open-ended team challenges that ask them to apply their learning in real-life ways. I love when students make meaningful connections, feel empowered to think for themselves, and learn to work together. I also believe deeply in the power of spiral review. Just because a unit ends, that doesn’t mean that the learning stops! Revisiting key concepts over time helps students retain and reuse what they’ve learned—without the stress of re-teaching from scratch. My goal? To keep minds active, lessons purposeful, and learning joyful.

My own education history

I earned my undergraduate degree and teaching credential from Cal Poly, San Luis Obispo, where I also completed a minor in Spanish. I later continued my education online through the University of San Diego, earning a Master’s degree in Literacy and Digital Learning.
