About the store
I help demystify coding concepts for elementary educators and blend SEL and Growth Mindset with STEAM using quick low prep resources. Mindset and SEL are the foundations of teaching and I create resources where they can be part of everything, instead of one extra thing to add. I have been teaching both private and public schools for 11 years at the elementary level holding roles in homeroom teaching, ESL and Special Education. I also have a background in social work and e-learning where I have worked in a non-profit running a mentoring program for at-risk youth and training adult mentors. This all combined has allowed me to support students in a variety of settings while contributing to not only to their academic well-being but their social emotional well-being as well.

Teaching style

I believe teachers are the guide in the classroom working collaboratively with students to co-construct success criteria. Instilling a growth mindset and SEL are part of everything, instead of being seen as just one more thing as these are the skills needed to navigate careers and academics successfully. Enabling students to realize how they learn, take risks, use their strengths and of course have fun are what I try to embody in the classroom!
