Painting Furry Creatures in Black and White

Use of the fan brush to paint fur was very successful in this technical page for water-based paint. It describes the holding of the brush, and give illustration. The simple use of black, just one color has developed an illustration of a rabbit. This could used with any furry creature.

Teaching style

I'm a believer in teaching art, not standing passively waiting for the child to entertain me. I am not their cheerleader. I want them to learn the traditional disciples of art that have been used by the artists of the past. It's important to let them know what they are capible of doing. If you allow them the freedom to work within a structured outline or lesson, they will find learning enjoyable and no where near that drudge of work. Work becomes joy.
