About the store

Experience

I have been an early childhood educator for 10 years, specialising in Pre-K, Kindergarten, and early mathematics. Throughout my career, I’ve taught and led teams across Early Childhood and the early Elementary grades, and I’ve also served as a whole-school math lead. In addition, I’ve worked as an Instructional Coach within a multi-school network and have mentored both student teachers and early-career educators.

Teaching style

I’m all about creating meaningful resources for early childhood classrooms and materials that truly inspire young learners and encourage creative exploration! I also have a strong passion for early mathematics and promoting a mastery-based approach across Pre-K through 1st Grade.

My own education history

I have a university honors degree in Sport Science! I went on to gain my PGCE (post graduate education degree)

Additional biographical information

So, I never thought I’d end up here! Growing up, I was definitely not a big fan of math. I was all about sports—I loved anything active, which is why I went on to earn my degree in Sports Science. I was convinced I’d end up teaching PE forever. After university, I stumbled into a PE teaching position at a local elementary school. I was lucky enough to work closely with the PE lead, who was an early childhood teacher. That’s where everything shifted for me. I discovered a whole new passion! I absolutely fell in love with early education, and the rest was history. The following year, I began my Postgraduate study in Early Childhood. About four years into teaching, “mastery maths” (or math mastery!) was becoming more widely recognised. After attending several training sessions, I became a huge advocate for early mastery-based math instruction. I loved this approach. Having struggled with math as a child, I knew teaching it this way could genuinely make a big difference for young learners. Fast forward eleven years, and I’ve gained extensive experience leading math across my school and supporting other educators across our network. And honestly? I still love it just as much as I did when I first discovered it. I hope you'll come on the journey with me!
