About the store
Welcome to Minimally Different Maths, a store built from a decade of experience teaching mathematics to secondary and high school students (ages 11–18) across the UK and Australia. Over my 10 years in the classroom, including time as a Head of Department, I’ve seen how small shifts in lesson design can make a huge difference to students’ understanding. My passion lies in applying research-informed pedagogy to real classrooms, creating resources that go beyond procedural practice to build true conceptual fluency. That’s why I developed Minimally Different Maths, lessons where each new example changes by just one small detail. This approach helps students notice patterns, predict outcomes, and understand structure, rather than simply memorising rules. Every resource in this store is classroom-tested, carefully sequenced, and designed to support teachers who value deep, connected learning. If you believe that great maths teaching comes from clarity, curiosity, and well-designed variation — you’re in the right place.
