About the store
I currently work in a special education setting where structure, flexibility, and real-life skills matter every single day. My role has given me hands-on experience supporting students with a wide range of needs, and I’ve spent a lot of time figuring out what actually works in a classroom that doesn’t always go according to plan. I’ve helped implement behavior systems, data tracking, classroom routines, and functional skill-building strategies, often adapting things in real time to meet student needs. The resources I create come directly from that experience—they’re not just ideas, they’re systems I’ve used and refined in my own classrooms.

About the store

Experience

I currently work in a special education setting where structure, flexibility, and real-life skills matter every single day. My role has given me hands-on experience supporting students with a wide range of needs, and I’ve spent a lot of time figuring out what actually works in a classroom that doesn’t always go according to plan. I’ve helped implement behavior systems, data tracking, classroom routines, and functional skill-building strategies, often adapting things in real time to meet student needs. The resources I create come directly from that experience—they’re not just ideas, they’re systems I’ve used and refined in my own classrooms.

Teaching style

My teaching style is structured, supportive, and rooted in real life. I believe students do best when expectations are clear, systems are consistent, and learning feels meaningful. I focus heavily on building independence, teaching functional skills, and creating routines that help students feel successful throughout the day. I also know that classrooms aren’t perfect—and my goal is always to create tools that work even on the hard days. Everything I design is meant to be practical, flexible, and easy to implement without adding extra stress.

Awards & shining teacher moments

I am an award-winning educator recognized for my tutoring work with students following Hurricane Katrina. That experience remains one of the most meaningful moments in my career and continues to influence the way I support students today. Beyond formal recognition, my proudest moments as an educator are often the small, meaningful wins—seeing a student use a system independently, regulate their behavior, or take pride in their progress. Watching students grow in confidence, gain independence, and feel successful in their environment is the reason I do this work.

My own education history

My studies have focused on instructional strategies, behavior support, data-driven decision making, and creating inclusive learning environments. In addition to my coursework, my day-to-day experience in the classroom has played a huge role in shaping my understanding of what students truly need to succeed.

Additional biographical information

I’m Jenny- the creator behind Mint Condition Classroom, where I focus on building structured, realistic systems that actually work in real classrooms. I have a passion for creating tools that support both students and educators—especially in settings where flexibility and creativity are essential. I love designing systems that bring a sense of calm, organization, and consistency to the classroom. Outside of my work, I am deeply rooted in my family. I’m a proud mom, wife, daughter, and sister, and those roles shape so much of who I am both personally and professionally. I have also had the privilege of serving as a foster parent for children with developmental disabilities, an experience that has profoundly influenced my perspective on support, patience, and the importance of meeting each child where they are. When I’m not working, you’ll likely find me spending time with my animals or thinking up new ways to make classroom life a little smoother.
