Experience

I have been teaching math for 15 years. ⭐️ 10 years in middle school teaching 6th, 7th, 8th, and Algebra 1. Gifted and Talented classes, Pre-AP classes, and Traditional Core classes (on grade level). ⭐️ 5 years in 5th grade working with resource level abilities all the way to gifted and everything in between.

Teaching style

I believe that math is not a one-size-fits-all content area. I believe in students discovering their own methods for problem solving rather than a "my way or the highway" approach to problem solving methods. My classroom is loud sometimes, quiet other times, and I like a healthy mix of collaboration and independent practice.
