I started my career as a teaching assistant, then I taught Maths and English Intervention in a Special Needs school. I moved into class teaching and taught Primary for 2 years before finding my home in the Secondary Maths classroom. I am now teaching years 6-13 Maths and am a Special Education Needs specialist supporting SEND pupils across the curriculum.

About the store

Experience

I started my career as a teaching assistant, then I taught Maths and English Intervention in a Special Needs school. I moved into class teaching and taught Primary for 2 years before finding my home in the Secondary Maths classroom. I am now teaching years 6-13 Maths and am a Special Education Needs specialist supporting SEND pupils across the curriculum.

Teaching style

I believe in creating a happy, safe environment where my kiddos feel safe to make mistakes. I like to teach in a fun and interactive way! I enjoy supporting pupils to DISCOVER maths and their learning. I use games and interactive activities to support pupils to learn and remember. Everyone can do Maths if given the opportunity to learn it!

Awards & shining teacher moments

I got a BSc in Mathematics from Newcastle University in 2009. I completed a PGCE with Sunderland University - and was rated as an outstanding teacher. I have completed my NASENCO masters level qualification. I am continuing to study at a Masters level.

I am a Maths Teacher based in the UK. I teach Years 6-13, which is equivalent to Grades 5-12 in the US. I hope to inspire my kiddos to love Maths as much as I do, and hope that you all enjoy my products! Miss B
