I needed a fun way to practice and enforce missing number skills on numberlines. This should do the trick! Project and have students move to the right number, write on white boards, or shout out! Please review so I know how to make them better!
Every year I throw together a journal for my class to document their vacations. I have the dates of our break, which you can change. I purposefully left out mention of Christmas because I do have students who do not celebrate, but feel free to edit the text as you see fit for your learners. I use these in my classroom all the time. Write in the words, or numbers, or anything you want to practice inside the spinner! Give the kids a paperclip and pencil and let them go at it! They will love seeing what words wins the race.
This is a chart I made for special ed math. It is set up in reading order and makes a great visual for anyone struggling with the concept of place value.
It shows the numbers (1, 2, 3 up to 900,000,000) as well as the written words (one, two, three, etc). It is clear, easy to understand, and includes 8 practice problems at the bottom.
