Students will search different websites online to try to find the best deals. Along the way, they will calculate the unit rates for different sized orders and brands. This activity contains two options. You can let students pick which one is more interesting to them or challenge them to do both. This activity also encourages students to think about factors outside of unit price that might impact your reason for purchasing a certain way. Students create two coupons for a selected item and share their creations on a Google Slide presentation. Students will then use the tracking sheet to go through and solve each student-created problem to determine if coupon A or coupon B provides a better discount. **Note: The shared slideshow/poster creation is digital but students will still need a printed copy of the tracking sheet unless you choose to solve them together as a class.
