This is a simple, yet powerful hands-on center that my kids love! All you need to do is print, cut, laminate, and supply your kiddos with Base 10 blocks. This center is aligned with the following Common Core Standards: 1.NBT.1, 1.NBT.2, 2.NBT.1.

This vocabulary journal can be used to enhance your thematic units and is fully customizable! I use these for each ELA curriculum unit in my classroom. It is a powerful tool for students when front loading vocabulary and to refer back to it when completing a writing assignment or having a discussion. They are even great for math and science too!
These are also great pages to glue into a composition notebook that the students keep all year as a vocabulary journal!
I created positive behavior notes that I turn into necklaces in my classroom. All you need to do is print, cut, laminate, hole punch and tie onto a string. I give these out to my kiddos when I catch them doing something kind or if they are acting responsible. They are a GREAT motivator! I love to get the other teachers and staff involved by encouraging them to comment on a student's necklace or ask them about it. The kids get a kick out of it-- they are SO stinkin' proud of themselves!

This is an example of a hunt that I used in my classroom. My students complete a hunt once a week during reading time and they ALWAYS are excited when they notice I have put the cards up– they know it means HUNT DAY!
All you need to do it print, laminate, and cut out! Tape the cards around the room and have the students visit each one. While they are at the card, have them use the recording sheet to write down the correct spelling of the word.

This poster can be displayed outside your classroom or inside right by the door to show others where in the school you are when your class is gone. I have a student move a clothespin to tell visitors that stop by our room where we are if we are not in the room! Laminate for durability, or attach to a clip board to create a cute display!

This is a classic (and super cute) roll and cover game that my kiddos adore! Included in the file are the directions that I use to explain the game to my kids before we play it. After we have played it together several times, I use it as a center during my math rotations.
All you need are two dice and markers to cover the spaces on the game board. Just print and laminate! I hope that you enjoy this fun game!
