The Switch
Your class will love practicing the Commutative Property of Addition with this activity.With The Switch, students will select two dominos and draw them in the first column on their worksheet, then they will write out two equations for the dominos. For example, if the student selects a domino with 5 dots and a 3, they would write out 5+3=8 and 3+5=8. There are five rows for the students to practice their skills. This activity would work well for both centers and independent practice.

I am an Early Childhood Education Major at a small school in Lancaster County, PA.
Additional biographical information
From a little girl, I knew that I wanted to be a teacher when I grew up. Know, I am studying to become one. My college training is preparing me to be in the classroom in a few years. In the Fall I will be in my Junior year of school, with hopes of graduating in the spring of 2019.
