This paper is a great visual to help kids see the difference between how to write their letters. Sky to grass capital letters, fence to grass lowercase letters, and fence/grass to dirt letters. I do this whole group, with each letter. Then laminate and make it into a center for them to practice. I will write 6 capital letters on the top portion, and 6 of the same letter in lowercase on the third row. The 2nd and 4th lines are for them to practice correctly writing their own letters.

There are six numbered boxes with directional arrows that make this an easy to use timeline for students. They can use photographs or drawings and then briefly write about each of the six major life events.
This shared reading is titled, The Color Song. Sung to the tune of "ABCs". This is the student's copy, if your building has a poster maker use that to blow it up so it can be a large chart that is easy to see. If not, just create your own on chart paper.
