These Geometry Learning Centers focused on polygons are perfect for intermediate grades! Originally created for third grade, they're also suitable for fourth and fifth grade. As students complete these activities, they will practice drawing, forming, classifying, naming, and sorting various polygons and shapes. These three activities were originally created to be paired with the picturebook "Inside Cat" by Brendan Wenzel, but they were adapted to also be a stand-alone resource. What's Included?
"My Passport" is the perfect icebreaker activity for elementary or middle school students in the first week of a new school year! While geared toward intermediate grades, it could be used with any age. Each student can fill out the information on their own passport and draw a self-portrait. Once they have filled out their own passports, they may "interview" their peers and then get their passports stamped by others. This would be a perfect activity to fill your first Bulletin Board.
