Teaching style

My teaching style is rooted in the belief that students learn best when they are actively engaged and excited about what they’re learning. I focus on creating hands-on, interactive lessons that move beyond worksheets and encourage critical thinking, collaboration, creativity, and real-world connections. I believe the best classrooms are ones where students feel supported, challenged, and inspired to take ownership of their learning. My goal has always been to create meaningful learning experiences that build confidence, spark curiosity, and make learning memorable. Every resource I create reflects that same passion—practical, engaging, and designed with real classrooms in mind.

My own education history

I earned my undergraduate degree from Texas State University in 2010, where I studied Exercise Sports Science with a minor in Geography. During my time at Texas State, I also played collegiate softball on a full scholarship—an experience that taught me discipline, perseverance, leadership, and the value of teamwork while balancing the demands of academics and athletics. My passion for education and leadership led me back to Texas State University, where I earned my Master’s degree in Educational Leadership in 2018 and obtained my Principal Certification. This experience deepened my understanding of curriculum development, instructional leadership, and creating impactful learning environments. Throughout my educational journey and teaching career, I’ve always believed in being a lifelong learner—constantly adapting, embracing new ideas, and being willing to try new things to better serve students. That mindset continues to shape me as an educator, leader, and curriculum creator today.

Additional biographical information

Hi, I’m Miss Texas from Buda! I’m a wife, mom of two boys, educator, and creative at heart who believes learning should spark curiosity and excitement. Whether I’m designing classroom resources, teaching students, or brainstorming new ideas, I love finding ways to make learning meaningful, hands-on, and memorable. After 13 years in education, I’ve learned that the best lessons are the ones students truly connect with—the ones that make them ask questions, explore, and love learning. That passion led me to create resources that help teachers save time while bringing engaging experiences into their classrooms. When I’m not creating, you can find me spending time with my family, enjoying life in Buda, and preparing for my next adventure as a kindergarten teacher at a nature school. Thanks for being here!
