About the store

Experience

I have been a teacher since 2003. I started out as a Reading Intervention Specialist. I have also taught Second and Third Grade and worked with students in first through fourth grades in the Title 1 Math program. Since 2009 I have worked in Gifted Education. I am currently a Gifted Intervention Specialist, teaching the third through fifth grade gifted program at Tyler Run Elementary School.

Teaching style

My goal is to encourage my students to inquire, question, think outside of the box, work collaboratively, learn, unlearn, and relearn throughout their educational journey. I want for them to leave my classroom with the skills to be resourceful, driven, creative, and unafraid of taking educational risks.

My own education history

Bachelor of Science in Early Childhood Education- Miami University Reading Endorsement- Miami University Masters Degree in Talent Development Education (Gifted Education Endorsement) - Ashland University
