About the store
It's amazing to think that I have taught at the secondary level for over a decade. I began teaching high school mathematics for five years in Pontiac, MI (an urban city about 30 miles north of Detroit). Then, I journeyed to Maryland where I taught middle school math in Riverdale, MD (an urban city bordering DC). And now, I am back in Michigan teaching in the heart of Detroit at one of the best high schools in town. Recently, I have taught Probability and Statistics and AP Statistics, but next year I may venture back to my true love---Algebra.

Experience

It's amazing to think that I have taught at the secondary level for over a decade. I began teaching high school mathematics for five years in Pontiac, MI (an urban city about 30 miles north of Detroit). Then, I journeyed to Maryland where I taught middle school math in Riverdale, MD (an urban city bordering DC). And now, I am back in Michigan teaching in the heart of Detroit at one of the best high schools in town. Recently, I have taught Probability and Statistics and AP Statistics, but next year I may venture back to my true love---Algebra.

Teaching style

I have an eclectic teaching style. This is important to me because it gives me a chance to meet the variety of learners with a variety of goals that enter my classroom everyday.

My own education history

I have a Bachelor's of Arts in Social Relations and teaching certification in Mathematics and Social Studies from Michigan State University. I am currently working a Master's of Arts in Mathematics Education Enhancement and Leadership from the University of Michigan-Dearborn.
