This resource has students read a text from each movement and then has them cite evidence from the text that supports characteristics of each. Students then answer an overarching periodization question. Helps students with finding text evidence to support claims. Common Core aligned. Texts have been abridged to fit within 1 class period.

This activity has students examine how the Constitution of 1917 changed Mexico and how it reflects the history of the country. Student begin reviewing prior knowledge about Mexico prior to the Constitution and the Mexican Revolution. Key content knowledge would be Porfirio Diaz, La Hacienda/Debt Peonage, Indigenous Land Appropriation, and Working Conditions. They then read passages from the Constitution of 1917 to identify if a change has occurred. They then utilize this information to write the

This activity has students preview key words they would expect in a Reagan speech and then compare them to actual key words. Students then summarize Reagan's major economic arguments found in the speech and cite textual evidence to support their conclusions.

This organizer helps students digest the different perspectives of a slave and a reverend in Virginia observing slavery. It asks students to summarize the perspectives on certain issues and then list the supporting text evidence. The issues are already listed to correspond with the sections of the text.
