Twenty-seven practice problems that can be projected onto a white-board for instruction or student practice of the relationship among graphs, linear equations, and tables. Sheets could also be printed to act as individual or group investigation of the concept(s).

Practice with Solving Equations. Equations are leveled easy to hard to allow students to pick and build confidence with the concept so vital to basic algebra. Types of equations involve one-step, two-step, combining like terms, and distributive property equations, with a total of 42 problems.

Slope Notes in a Frayer Model format where students can describe their understanding of linear slope in their own words, pictures, and descriptions. The back (second page) of the document is a guided practice set of problems related to linear slope.

A leveled assessment with two problems focused on gauging a students level of proficiency with order of operations and pattern recognition and representation. Leveled ("Remember" for 3/5, "Understand" for 4/5, or "Apply" for 5/5 points)

I used this worksheet near the beginning of the school-year as sort of an ice-breaker to get to know students and their level of intrigue with problem solving, as well as their confidence in seeking and providing help to classmates. As to not discourage the students, but I distributed the worksheet with a heavy emphasis that not every problem on it may be solvable or solved in just one way, but I was interested to see them work individually, in pairs, or small groups. Students will interact with a famous piece of art (Mona Lisa) by way of mathematics. Using scale factor, students will investigate the changes made to the painting by dilating to make the piece larger and smaller. Also, students will notice the scale factor's connections to the paintings area and perimeter after a dilation. Threw in some review of other types of transformations at the end as well.

Test your student's knowledge of geometric transformations including translations, rotations, reflections, and dilation. Also involves coordinates, coordinate rules for transformations, and congruency (perimeter and area).

A power-point presentation about "Graphing Functions". Slides show other terms associated with functions, provide student friendly descriptions of terms, pictures, examples, video links, etc.

Students will get a visual understanding of how the slope (m) and y-intercept (b) affect a linear line using the Slope-Intercept Equation (y = mx + b).
