Experience

Hello! I'm Janet Mitchell, and I love creating resources to support busy teachers like yourself. I am here to provide meaningful materials that motivate and engage your learners. As a retired educator with 31 years of experience, I understand the importance of teaching resources that are low-prep and easy to incorporate in your learning environment.

Teaching style

My goal is for students to develop a positive attitude and gain confidence in their mathematical abilities. I believe that hands-on activities provide a way for learners to discover relationships and make connections between concepts. Another important aspect of developing young mathematicians is providing enough practice with new skills to offer a strong foundation for the next level of learning. This is true for basic math fact fluency and more complex higher-level concepts. Therefore, the resources I create are designed to encourage student engagement, increase conceptual understanding, and improve math fact fluency. Let's keep working together to make math fun and meaningful for your students!
