Experience

Hello! I am currently a third year Art Teacher in a New Jersey K-8 school. I’ve substitute taught for over 3 years prior to getting my first job out of college at The College of New Jersey.

Teaching style

I fell in love with teaching the moment I knew what a pencil and a chalkboard was. I spent many years inspired by the teachers around me at home and in school, striving to be just as brilliant and engaging as them. Art was also a big aspect of my life, first getting drawn to watercolor and paint, then eventually into capturing photos and creating digital art. Working with various media and being well rounded as an artist is something I am still exploring and I encourage my students to do as well. I strive to be a lifelong learner and I hope my students become inspired by me and my practice to explore deeper lengths of academia with the same of what they love.

My own education history

BA in Art Education with a minor in Graphic Design from the College of New Jersey (magma cum laude). Currently working towards a Masters in Special Education through NJCU

Additional biographical information
