About the store
I have over 7 years of experience working in the public school system. I had a lot of my experience working in Kindergarten and a few years in 3rd and 4th grade. I have experience in teaching children to read and working with children on K-4 grade math. I really enjoyed teaching students multiplication, division, and fractions. Most recently I have started homeschooling my oldest for the last two years. It’s been a joy to see my teaching skills come in handy with my son.

This SmartBoard lesson is based around the conversion of Mixed Fractions to Improper Fractions. I used this strategy with my 3rd graders. The MAD Strategy helps the students remember the steps that go along with the conversion of the fractions. These are problems I came up to teach my students how to look at number sentences and word problems. This also gives them opportunities to allow the students to interact with different strategies to perform addition and subtraction problems. There are 36 different problems for the students to use: 8 of them number sentences and 28 word problems.
