In this Bingo game, the times are written in a.m. and p.m. so that the students can practice the 24 hour clock. Instead of bingo across the top, the game used the days of the week lundi, mardi, mercredi, jeudi, and vendredi. This file includes 20 unique bingo cards (4 to a page) and all of the drawables.
A great, fun project to get your students practicing the body parts vocabulary in French. The instruction sheets walk you and your students through creating this book step by step. The students create an 8 page book (either by folding paper or stapling it together) and then write a story about a monster. The story starts with 2 body parts (For example: He has 4 arms. He has 7 legs) and a drawing of just those body parts. On the next page, the students add 2 more body parts and a drawing that
The PowerPoint includes directions for a task where students present the weather using a PowerPoint presentation. I have also included a rubric that is fully ready for customization for your needs. Finally, the last 3 slides of the presentation are a sample project for you to go present to your students. This is a fabulous activity for an Exploratory class, but the expectations could be easily increased for older students. I usually gave the students 1 day work time to create their PowerPoint
This activity contains 24 cards that all connect to one another. At the top of each card it says "Listen For" followed by a French word. At the bottom of each card it says "Spell" followed by a different French word. The way the activity works, is you have one student start by spelling the word from the bottom of the card first (using the French alphabet of course!), everyone else is listening to see if the word the first student spelled is at the top of their card next to "Listen for." If t
In this activity, students are asked to count the Euro Centime amounts for a row of coins. Students write the numbers in French and add each new coin to the total. Numbers 0-100.
I have compiled a list of my top 5 Creativity iPad Apps for the World Language Classroom and ideas of how to use them in your class. They are some of the best apps out there and encourage your students to be creative and produce great things with the language!
This fun activity requires students to both write the numbers in French and to understand the numbers in a listening component. For this activity, I have listed a number of celebrities and sports stars in one column. I created a presentation to show the students with each person's picture.(not included, but if you would like it,please contact me and I will e-mail it to you) This works best since not everyone knows who some of these people are. After viewing their picture, students guess how o
Students get a blank "Loterie" sheet and have to choose their lucky numbers! They are given a range of numbers (only goes up to 50) and must choose 5 numbers to write in EN FRANÇAIS! After they've written their numbers in for that round (only using a number once) I draw 5 numbers from the drawables for that round. If the student has that number ANYWHERE in the row, they color in that oval. Then I have them write in their numbers for the next round. At the end of all of the rounds, they coun
This flowchart is designed to help your students make the right decisions when talking about where people are going to and coming from. It starts by asking them if they are coming or going and then guides them through conjugating the verb and choosing the correct preposition for the different places. I have included a blank copy, a skeletal copy, and a fully filled in copy.
