About the store
Hi! I'm so glad you're here. My name is Michele Nevitt. I've been a high school math teacher for about 31 years. I've taught everything (and I mean everything) from 6th grade math to Calculus 1. I even received the pleasure of teaching concurrent enrollment classes for a local community college. I have a BS in Mathematics, a MA in secondary education with an emphasis in mathematics. And in 2019, I passed my National Boards for Teaching Mathematics to Adolescents and Young Adults. First, I love God and want to honor Him with my life! I love my family. I have a wonderful husband and 3 kids who are now young adults. And I love mathematics. My hope for my store is to create high school math content starting with Algebra 2 for those who want to follow me and receive great content for your Algebra 2 class. I'll branch out later to other subjects. May God bless your school year!

Teaching style

I feel students learn by doing math but it doesn't happen by magic. It happens with practice. I was a big fan of "Me do", "We do" and "You do". Also called "gradual release". My content will provide you with practice to help them believe in themselves to do the math. I believe that students who believe in their ability to do math become young adults who believe they can do anything!

Awards & shining teacher moments

My favorite teaching moments were the times I heard my students say "I get it!" or "Ohhhhh....." as the light bulb clicked on. I will never get tired of student's gasps while learning. Music to my ears!

My own education history

Taught 31 years in the public school system: middle school, high school, and concurrent college classes. BS in Mathematics MA in Secondary Education with an emphasis in Mathematics Became a NBCT in 2019 for Teaching Mathematics to Adolescents and Young Adults but no longer active.
