Includes pyramids for multiplication facts for 2's through 9's.
The first one is partially completed to show kids how it's done. :)
I use this in my room for kids who are struggling with memorizing their basic facts. The students are to complete the pyramid for each set of facts, following the pattern. This helps them understand how multiplication works by examining that pattern of skip counting. When kids have trouble understanding multiplication, we have a tendency to reach for pictures to r
I use this in my room to have students track their own grades so that they can make sure they are improving in each area. They are responsible for adding to these each time they get back a graded assignment so they can track their growth. They're also great to pull out for parent conferences. :) It's made to be used for any subject area, so really the possibilities are endless. Enjoy!
This is a full, detailed lesson plan I created for teaching kids about the differences between vertebrates and invertebrates. It includes:
--Lesson plan
--Links to resources to supplement the lesson
--Detailed foldable directions and examples

It addresses the following third grade standards:

These guide discussion in my classroom. They work wonders. I ask a question, I see their finger signals. I can control the conversation by choosing who to call on (based on their signal), but students do ALL the talking and thinking. I always get kudos for this come evaluation time, but I use this system on a daily basis.
1 Finger = I want to add...
2 Fingers = I agree because...
3 Fingers = I disagree because...
These are inspired by the book "Comprehension Shouldn't Be Silent" by Kelley and Clausen-Grace. Their book is based on research proving that good readers consistently use these five strategies while reading. Therefore, to help students become strong readers, we must teach them to use these skills. We do this by having students monitor their own thinking. These skills are meant to be modeled and monitored throughout the year and the posters are reminders to students of what they should be doing w
I created this to use in my room for classroom management instead of a stoplight in order to support our school's nautical theme this year. Print, laminate, hang vertically, and place student clips starting at the top. Hopefully they stay there! :)
When students fail to complete homework, I have them go sign the homework excuse binder. They have to write the date, assignment missing, and excuse. This is an amazing tool for parent conferences. This product includes the cover page which you can edit to have your name instead of mine, and a reproducible of the pages I put inside. I have one page for each kid and I alphabetize them so it's easy to navigate for students and myself. At the top it says "Excuses for_________." The blank is where I
