Poke Ball Reading and Spelling Set CVC, CVCC and CCVC word sequences. Suggested ways to use these resources: - Matching Game: Spread picture cards on the table, take turns reading the word and snapping the corresponding picture. The player with the most pairs at the end wins. - Spelling: place a picture card on the sound mat, use the poke balls as a visual support to break up (segment) each sound in the word before spelling the word on the line below (or in the balls).

Digraph Spelling Strips You can use these as printed worksheets or laminate and cut them into strips to be used with a whiteboard marker or letter tiles. How to use:  Tell the student their spelling word, then have them break up the sounds in each word (segmenting) before spelling them on the page. There should be one sound per box (eg., ch-i-m-p).
