Students will read about sugar skulls then design a sugar skull using different symbols that are assigned point values. After students design and color their sugar skull, they will write an expression that represents their sugar skull and it's value. (5.OA.1, 5.OA.2)

Using the task cards, students will identify the property of the equation and solve. This would be great for centers, review day, or formative assessment. You could also use this as a scoot & slide activity!

4th graders will review what they learned in Unit 3 of their Everyday Math book. This review can be used to complete in class or as homework.

This is a quick, fun activity where your students can show mastery of multiplying multi-digit numbers using standard algorithm and partial products.
