The goal of the "Weekly Homework Planner & Homework Contract" is to help a student build homework accountability by requiring a parent or guardian's daily signature. This Monday - Friday homework planner has a spot for the adult responsible for the student to sign and acknowledge the student's homework participation each day.

“Metaphors & Similes - Figurative Language Exercise” provides a definition for metaphors and similes with examples. The figurative language exercise asks students to read a partial passage and to complete it with their own metaphor and simile. Next, students fill out a chart to identify if each comparison is a simile or metaphor. Students record the comparison and determine if it comparison connects with noun or verb.
