Slime is a subtraction fact fluency game that can be used year round as it is not holiday/season themed. Students draw cards and answer the subtraction fact (Through 10). If they answer correctly, they get to keep the card, if they answer incorrectly they put the card in the discard pile. If students draw a black snail slime card, they put all of their cards in the discard pile. When there are no more cards to choose from, students count their cards, The student with the most cards win.

This is a center game that addresses CCSS 1.OA.6 &1.OA.3. Students will find three stars that are the same color and then manipulate them to make the correct number sentences that belong to that particular fact family. There are two versions of the game. Version A is fact families within 10 and version B is fact families within 20.
