I started my career as an elementary art teacher six years ago. Since then I have taught second grade, first grade and kindergarten. This year I will be returning to first grade after spending the last three years in kindergarten.

Slime: A Subtraction Fact Fluency Game

Slime is a subtraction fact fluency game that can be used year round as it is not holiday/season themed. Students draw cards and answer the subtraction fact (Through 10). If they answer correctly, they get to keep the card, if they answer incorrectly they put the card in the discard pile. If students draw a black snail slime card, they put all of their cards in the discard pile. When there are no more cards to choose from, students count their cards, The student with the most cards win.
