About the store
👋 Hi! I’m Lisa, an experienced early childhood and K-6 literacy educator with a passion for creating engaging, hands-on learning resources that make learning fun and meaningful for young students. With 14 years in early childhood education and 6 years in K-6 literacy, I design child-centered materials that support foundational skills through songs, poems, interactive stories, fine motor activities, math and literacy centers, and more! I believe that learning should be an experience—not just a lesson! That’s why I focus on designing my classroom to enhance background knowledge by incorporating hands-on activities, real-world connections, and interactive materials that bring learning to life. Teaching and creating my own resources allows me to craft materials that are unique, engaging, and developmentally appropriate for my students. Whether it’s seasonal songs with crafts, emergent readers, themed learning packets, or play-based activities, my goal is to make learning fun, interactive, and accessible for all young learners. Explore my shop, MonkeySee MonkeyLearn, for resources that spark curiosity, build foundational skills, and make learning an adventure!

Teaching style

My Teaching Philosophy: I believe that when children are given meaningful experiences and a strong foundation of background knowledge in an engaging environment, they grow, thrive, and develop a love for learning. My Motto: "Pre-K is messy—dress for a mess!" My Favorite Saying: "Mistakes happen—you’re still learning. That’s how we grow!" My Wish for My Students: That they understand their actions impact not only themselves but those around them. We all have a responsibility to be kind, helpful, and respectful to one another. My Classroom Token Economy: You are rewarded for being a "good friend." Instead of focusing solely on individual achievements, we ask: "How did you help others today?" If only the world could be filled with the innocence and kindness of my littles. ❤️
