Parent Letter (Picking books based on Lexile and Guided Reading Level)

This is a simple letter to send home to help parents pick books on the student's level. Some of the information was compiled from Lexile.com. It has a place for the teacher to list the student's lexile level and guided reading level. I send it home at conferences as a reference for parents when taking students to the library or buying books for their children.

My own education history

I have loved teaching since I was little!! When I was little I would teach my brother and teddy bears. I would have my brother turn in work for me to grade. I had decided in high school that I would pursue astronomy then it changed to aviation. Finally, I decided to go into education so that I could share my passion for learning with my students.
