Dignity matters in the materials we present and use in our clinical practice for adults with cognitive and physical disabilities. The materials I have created include thoughtful, age-appropriate visuals and content for preserving dignity, respecting across every stage, empowering, and fostering participation in meaningful, purposeful, and necessary activities. My goal with using TPT is accessibility and affordability for clinicians and caregivers. My experiences include: pediatrics with extensive volunteering in classrooms, outpatient clinics, and community for teens and young adults with disabilities up to 22 y/o; then 10 years in psychosocial and geriatric settings including: skilled nursing and long-term care, memory care, assisted living, and home health.

Teaching style

The resources, activities, games and worksheets are developed to be utilized in varying flexible practice settings and models of approach. I developed them to easily be customized to the user and learners in the moment. Depending on the presentation and implementation, these items can be utilized for biomechanical, restorative, compensatory, adaptive, and wellness purposes.
