Hi there! I’m a veteran Deaf Education Teacher with 14 years of experience creating inclusive, visual, and accessible resources for Deaf and Hard of Hearing students. I design materials that support learning from the classroom to the campsite—perfect for teachers, troop leaders, and anyone who works with kids who learn best through hands-on, engaging activities. Teaching style

My approach is all about making learning inclusive, interactive, and fun! I design resources with diverse learners in mind, incorporating ASL integration, visual supports, movement-based activities, and differentiated instruction to meet a variety of learning needs. Whether it’s for the classroom or a troop meeting, I strive to create engaging experiences where every child feels seen, supported, and excited to learn.

My own education history

I hold a Bachelor’s degree in Deaf Education (Baylor University) and a Master’s degree in Special Education (TAMU).

Additional biographical information

After 14 wonderful years as a Deaf and Hard of Hearing teacher, I’ve stepped out of the classroom and into a new role as a Training and Development Specialist in emergency management and public health. I now design and support training that helps communities prepare for and respond to real-world emergencies—still with the same passion for accessible, engaging, and inclusive learning. Outside of work, I’m a proud Girl Scout leader and Cub Scout mom, always up for a good campout, community service project, or creative adventure. Whether I’m leading a troop or developing a training, I love bringing energy, empathy, and hands-on learning to every setting.
