About the store

Experience

I have been teaching Mathematics for 14 years. I taught Algebra 1 for 3 years, 7th grade Math for 2 years, 8th grade Math for 2 years, Math Models for 3 years, Algebraic Reasoning for 4 years, and Algebra 2 for 9 years. I also competed in and coached Number Sense and Calculator UIL events in both Junior High & High School.

Teaching style

I like the notes to be broken up into chunks, with activities dispersed throughout. I feel like this allows students to build up from the basics with practice and collaboration from their peers.

Awards & shining teacher moments

I have earned the Teacher of the Year Award from Springtown High School. I have also earned Student Education Foundation Award at Springtown High School.

My own education history

I graduated with a BS in Interdisciplinary Studies from Tarleton State University.

Additional biographical information

I absolutely love Mathematics. Mathematics is full of challenging puzzles waiting to be solved. I want my own students to find the joy in solving challenging puzzles themselves.
