Morrison Math

This activity tasks students with finding a hiker missing in the woods. Using the equation of a circle, students are able to use three listening posts and the pinged distance from the hiker's cell phone to locate his exact location for a rescue mission. Included is a list of Common Core standards addressed, an intro to the problem, the problem itself and an answer key with fully worked out algebra with illustrations.
