I have taught in a public school for 13 years. I have taught in 2 different states, and 3 different districts- small to large. I have a Masters in reading, and also have worked at Boys Town USA as a behavioral work-skills supervisor. I have tutored reading, and other subjects as well. I run the school newspaper club. It is vague enough that as long as you have worksheets, blue paper, and technology very little needs to be changed.
However, if you do alter the choices (even if you want to do this weekly) it is SIMPLE!

Try it! So much better than a fancy system and it makes sense to kids! If you want to add a 3rd arrow for perhaps Math Games just click with your mouse and copy/paste below the prior item. EASY!

Behavior and Assignment Project Management Easy Effective Strategy Sheets
This is 5 pages of a Behavior management tool I use. I have included two ways (with explanations) to use the form. Both are formatted and ready for use.
Includes: 2 versions (daily format) of the behavior and assignment monitoring forms, and 2 versions of the parental note that students can use to communicate to their parents about their behaviors and missing work.

Teaching style
I am a flexible teacher. This means, I use lots of various teaching techniques. I am not anti-worksheet. However, I find that I use them sparingly unless they are interactive. I tend to like discussion and prefer to be along-side my students as a learner as well. It makes it educational, and fun for everyone!
Awards & shining teacher moments
I've got some... you know how it is... would have to think about it to be specific.
The greatest honor is definitely being engaged on an educational and personal level with my students, their families, and the staff of my school and district. And of course with my bud and blossom at home (my son and daughter).
My own education history
I went to school in the district I teach. I am very proud of it. I did however, teach in another state, and another district before coming back home. :-)
Additional biographical information
* Was a single mom for a time, and understand those unique assets it takes to balance life.
* I just love to create. I am here because I want to create. If you buy from me... well just know I use it back into my classroom, so think of it as a donation. I just spent 75.00 on here for my 5th graders.
